TONY thats tough news, very sorry to hear that, take care buddy...
GUYS if you are planing on running your boats keep in mind there will be spectators there, so please only run proven setups. We don't need any mishaps. Another words this is not the time and place to run your brand new boat/experimental setup for the first time.
The Shelby Park rep recommends we bring tables chairs & canopies (just like a race day). There are a couple power outlets near one end of the pond for charging. Still, if possible charge your cells before you come out.
The GAS/NITRO club should have a decent size group there it would be nice if we could make a good showing also. I'm planning on getting out there around 8:30am
FRED do we have a club banner for our display? Also MIKE can you bring some of those MMEU LHS handouts? It would be nice to have some on hand.

Sorry for your loss Tony. Cancer is such a nasty unforgiving battle.
Ken, should we bring stuff that's not ready for prime time just to leave on the tables as a display? The 34" Wild thing is almost done but it's never been wet. Not the place to experiment but it sure looks cool.
Are we going to try to run the club classes?
What about retrieval?
Should I bring buoy to toss?
Sheesh, I'm full of questions.

Ken, should we bring stuff that's not ready for prime time just to leave on the tables as a display? YES!!!!!!!!
Are we going to try to run the club classes? DEPENDS ON PARTICIPATION , I'M UP FOR IT.
What about retrieval? TENNIS BALLs? I would guess the nitro guys will have a row boat
Should I bring buoy to toss? HOW about throwing one(or 2) from shore with a weighted line.
Sheesh, I'm full of questions.

Then back today. 1000 miles in 2 days. Back to CMU on Friday. I should be around tomorrow though.........I think. Good to have skills I guess.

Just wanted to sincerely thank the guys that showed up with there boats and equipment. Terry, Fred, Ron, John & myself setup tables and displayed a bunch of boats, we talked to to a lot ofinterested spectators and think we nabbed a couple prospective MMEU members. Nice little pond, we got a long great with the Gas/Nitro guys. We did a few demo spec class races, Terry woed the crowd with his Big Whip, good time for all!
