Don't know where you "heard" that but all the LiPo chargers I am aware of are not the true "pulse" chargers like the old NiCd pulse chargers. Just get a quality Hyperion, ThunderPower or AstroFlight charger and get on the water.
.
has anyone used the i chargers, 206 or 208 .

Bought a Thunder power charger TP610C and it was alot less than user freindly then after about a year and half (we didn`t use it for 5-6 months after we got it), it smoked 9I saw smoke come out of it) i sent it in and they checked it all out and sent it back and said it was fine and all the functions worked as they should, i put it back on aa pack and it would not charge low and behold after i called them they said well we didnt check the balancer let us send you another one to try, that worked and away we went, and less than 20 charges later the LCD we out which made it useless, we wont be buying another

The dallas group all use hyperian ac input chargers with good results. We put 6 of them on a 1000w honda generator and charge 6 10s batteries at one time.
We use the g3 hyperian batteries from all e-rc. Good price and good service.
Getting my 4 whips ready for a assume year. Lsh,p sport hydro,q hydro ,t hydro. See ya !! Don

I have the Icharger 206 with a power supply that came from progressiverc and it works like a charm. Been using it to charge 4, 3 cell 5000mah parallel and balanced.
I am new to boats, but been flying and driving rc's for 30 years.

FMA cellpro powerlab 8 can charge up to 30 amps!!!! Can charge my 6500's from 10-15%to 100% in 10-12 minutes!!!!! just go to FMAdirect.com. The 10s is a great charger too and at $130 is a good price. The things I like best about these chargers are their ease of use, you don't have to enter cell count or mah of cells, just pick the cell chemistry and charge rate and hit start. No rediculous menus. And they display the internal resistance of each individual cell while charging, so if you have a pack that has a weak cell you'll know. The only thing I do not like about them is you cannot charge w/out a balanceer but that is a safety precaution.

BTW my father's handle is bardahlracing, and i bought 4 Supermate dc6 chargers (shortly after the tp-610 went to crap) and they have been way more reliable and are exactly the same as the TP-610 internally and work just as good for approximately 1/5 the price!!
