Tommy if you need it built that's one thing, hobby-lobby is selling them for around 47 (hull), pooleys wasn't coming with motor and stuff, so maybe the way to go is brandy new, octura hardware isn't very expensive and I think Fine design carries everything, just a thought, cheers eddie

forget 4 cell, what about a 2.5 cc nitro??? that would be fun.....

I'm afraid that a nitro motor in a Key would shorten the boat's life a lot. The vibration combined with the very thin Graupner plastic = cracks all over the place in short order. Speed might be pretty high, but setup would be critical. The Key has too much lift for practical speeds much over 35 mph on 6 cells, and the nitro motor would weigh even less so would be more prone to flying. It could be done and would be fun, but there are downsides. Still, I'd say go for it!
Speaking of 4 cell cats, recently Ed Hughey reportedly ran a geared setup in one of his small tunnels - similar to the Key West in size - and got over 20 mph - on TWO cells! I remember when getting much over 20 mph out of an MRP hydro on 12 cells was tough.....!!

Now THAT is cool. Mr Hughey really has that stuff down. Any word on runtime?
I am a big fan of getting performance from smaller setups like 4 cell racing :) I have go to get to Batavia one of these years.
