Quick question:
I am ready to solder bullet connectors to my new Thunderpower lipo:

Do I solder the male bullet to the red wire?
Does it matter?

Thanks,
Glenn

I put the male on the black negitve wire and female on the red wire.I think thats the way most people do it.

if you run w a few guys then solder them the same way they do, that way if u ever need to borrow a pack u can, if ur by urself then anyway u want.

i always put females on the positive from the battery and males on the negative. my reasoning is that the positive wire from the battery is covered by the shrink tubing. (no shorts) i also make caps from the same size shrink.i just put them over the finihed bullet connectorand extend a 1/2 inchlonger than connecter shrink the tubing then remove. now you have a reusable protector

The way I solder leads is to hold the plug in a foil lined clothes pin. The foil keeps the chlothes pin from burning. I hold the clothes pin in a vice, fill the plug with solder and insert the wire. Male is red. I use plastic plug covers from the Hardware store over the mail exposied plug. It helps to use red and black heat shrink. I heat shrink with a high heat paint remover blower. Really fast. Number 8 wire is not necessary. Number 10 is ok
up to 80 amps. Above that parallel 2 numbwr 10`s
