There are several good reasons for water-cooling the motor in your fast-electric boat, with the biggest one being that you can safely run more cells, making your boat even FASTER! :-) It will also make your motor more effecient, thus delivering more power to the prop.
I make and sell ready-to-install water-cooling kits to fit all popular "540", "550", "600", "700" and "820" electric motors, plus the Astro Flight "05" ~ "25"-sized Cobalt motors. Each kit includes the coil (each coil is wound from 36" of aluminum tubing for maximum cooling), an adjustable transom-mounted 5/32" aluminum water pick-up with mounting bracket and screws, two 1" x 5/32" pipes for plumbing through the transom, 30" of clear flexible tubing, and six 4" nylon zip-ties for securing all connections. (see attached pic) Also available is a special "twin" set that includes two of everything shown in the picture, except that the coils are wound in opposite directions for neater and easier installation in twin-motor hulls.
Single kits (regardless of motor size) are ONLY $10 + postage. (U.S. buyers pay either $2.00 for 1st Class Mail, or $3.85 if you prefer Priority Mail. International buyers pay the actual shipping costs. Insurance is optional, but recommended) The special "Twin" set is only $20 plus postage. I prefer payments via PayPal, but I will also accept cash (at your risk), checks (held 7-10 days), M.O.'s, and gold Krugerrands.
I will also be more than happy to custom-wind a coil to fit ANY motor, and at absolutely no extra charge! I can even wind them small enough for the "380" and "400"-sized motors, but I then have to use a much-smaller 3/32" o.d. aluminum tubing.
