Being a fellow country-bumpkin, I didn't figure that this would phase you in the slightest. :p

Now if Granny (God bless her soul) were dressin' the chickens, I can see how this might happen... especially in her latter years. She just pulled the heads off (and it's possible that the heads could end up in the wrong pile). Me, I preferred to use an axe and a couple of nails in a stump to lay the critter out and do the deed. Heads went forward and the rest went flappin' away for awhile in another direction.

Unless you've done your share of pluckin' chickens or had such delicacies as Hogshead Cheese, Mountain Oysters or Pickled Pigs Feet... well, you just ain't country-raised. :D

It's one thing to find a chicken head ordinary...but another altogether to find a fried head amusing... I am country born and raised, but I guess through my travels, I have become a "cultured" fellow...as for Eddie... well...only time will tell....hehehe

Too many Americans suffer from the tendency to eat with their eyes. They miss a lot. I spent several years abroad myself and always looked forward to trying the local cuisine.

Although, I have to admit, I have drawn the line a few times. I have never (knowingly) partaken of Fido.

whoa whoa, for the record I found the mcnoggin funny, not fetching !!! I don't think i could chow down on a deep fried chicken coconut, uh uh , and for clarification everytime I see that pic I think of Indiana jones and the temple of doom, when the had that big feast, hilarious, anyway I am not too adventurous when it comes to food, I too eat with my eyes, but I have done the usual live goldfish at Ed's bay pub in the hamptons, many moons ago... but ya never know, if your hungry enough you'll eat anything....
