Sorry bill, anyway "Fin Som Snus" is danish not german, it means it's as fine as snuff,,,,,,, it's a saying my Uncle (Onkle) always used, since Kaspar is from arhus, I thought he'd like that,,,, in any language it's a nice looking boat,,,,

Kaspar, very nice, you are running twin drive,,, I saw some other postings regarding running a twin in a cat,,,, how do you like it placed in the sponsons, I thought about that type of setup for a systems , but never acted on it,,,,,,,,, anyway nice work on the machining side,,,, cheers ed???????

Well Ed,

The twin drives actually caused a lot of troubles.
The idea was to use a drive from MTC (German company) but there is not enough space for them..

MTC Marl Hüls (http://www.mtc-powerboat.de/)

So I had to make my own, in the start I would have liked to place them a little lower, but the bearing kind of placed it self because og its size.. Anyway it seem to be perfect, I can move the drive around 10 degrees up and down..

The original idea came from the IG-powerboat site, look under Nicht Mono there you will find more pics of a boat like mine but also look at the twin drive Jolly Motor.

IG-Powerboat (http://www.ig-powerboat.de/)

But regarding the idea with the Systems. There just so little space in that boat, look in the forum for my troubles with my single drive Systems... Im not saying you cant do it, but It might take a lot of rebuilding...

Arvad, looks adjustable? If so, can you adjust on the run?

Very nice looking piece of custom work!

Kaspar, tousand tak for the links, I am not sure how this drive works, to me there must be a flex shaft within this adjustable housing, I do some machining my self,,,, but the stuff at that sight is a whole new ballgame,,,, did you purchase the bearing from the company, or adapt one from another source,,,,,, as far as the systems goes, i was thinking more along the lines of 2 700's with the graupner flex drive in each sponson,,,,, or even 2 geared 05's with some commercial hardware,,,,, but I remember from my hot rod days, when every one was going to multiple carbs, that a single 4 barrel set up right will out run a six pack if set up right,,,,, so I decided to apply the K.I.S.S. method,,,,,,, That boat is gone but I was thinking of a new one, I also have a cesa, that I previously thought would be great with dual drives,,,,,, anyway I really like what your doin,,,,, good luck, :D

Well Steven,

This is the first drive I have made, but I guess that I could make the next one "on the fly adjustebel"...

I have a education as Presicion Engineer, I dont use it anymore but anyway.. Still works for the boats..

On the pic you can see hoe it works, it has a small HEX? (Pinolskrue on Danish) this holds the drive....

Lots of room to fool around in there! Maybe a 4 channel radio? A servo on each drive that lifts up and down?

Eddie,

The way its working, more or less in they way you said.

MTC details (http://www.rc-raceboats.de/images/reviews/Avenger/flex1.JPG)

Hope the pic helps..

The bearings are from a German company called INA.
(Its also in English)
