Does anyone know the difference between a chameleon and a chameleon 2? I can't get on trinity's site, so no help there.

Duncan, Not sure but I believe the 2 is the pro model which is tuned and dyno'ed

The Chameleon 2 uses the P2K stock style can and endbell. Advantages are slightly better torque, surface mount capacitors on the endbell and the comm is locked to the armature preventing additional advance from being added. Ran a dyno test on one last week, it showed marginally better torque but no more power than an old style Chameleon I have. Maybe with a little tuning it can be improved.

Hello guys,

Ran a dyno test on one last week, it showed marginally better torque but no more power than an old style Chameleon I have.

That's pretty funny, I had found the exact same thing. I had bought the old Chameleon and a week later they came out with the Chameleon 2 version. The can like Patrick mentioned is the only real difference and the old style I have actually spins more rpm than the new ones, about 2700 rpm more. I'm getting a tick over 36,500 rpm out of the old style.
