Is it just me or does this board seem much faster? At home I have no choice but dialup and navigating from page to page seemed to take much longer on the old board.

Yes, it does seem faster. I am running a cable modem which didn't make the old one too slow, but this is noticeably faster than the old one. Could just be my neck-of-the-woods. This is very nice, also. Lot's of options.

Thank you everyone who made this possible.

Much faster I have a cable modem and the pages just pop up. Where the old site would get on my nerves sometimes. You could fix a sandwich and come back. But I think that was some server problems.

I have noticed it is a lot faster as well.

Would this make it go 55MPH?

This was and have to be an uprade of sever as well. So it can handle the PERL queries. Most likely not one in enhancing the bandwith just changing the server for better querie seek times.

At work I have dsl so when I come home and surf its a real bummer. Now that things have sped up its not so bad.

Hey Guys,

If anyone around here thinks they have it bad check this out. I have SAM desiese (slow a** modem) and I'm lucky to hit 28.8 dial up speeds. No DSL or cable in this area either so I'm lovin this.

Why cant I see the new site from work? I see the old site at work and the new one at home! Work is about 10 miles away if that means anything.

The answer is different dns servers between the isp's that your home and work give this a go i did a reverse look up last night.
is you want to use it try http://216.71.203.105 as the url that will work regardless the dns is not up

Having a lot smaller message database certainly helps with the speed.

I think a darn good job has been done here. Any if i could put pen to paper and do something like this. This fancy design stuff just doesnt work when i do it. I couldnt really give a toss wether it was slow or not, a darn good job was done anyways.
PS a smaller database certinely would help a lot with the PERL database.
Finally i dont have to use the IP address to get to this web site YAY!!!
