Ok, I found this on the hood of my camaro, rather creepy if you ask me.. The total diameter of this dusty print is about 2 inches. Have not seen the spider it self, but quite sure it was done by a long leg brown wolf spider. How it actually came about leaving it's print I'm not sure.. But I figured I share it with you.

Welp, I think the good news is, I think he's probably toast where ever he is! The only way I could imagine a mark like that being left would be if he smoldered there for a bit... Small spiders, Ok, furry tarantulas in tanks, OK, something sizeable roaming in my living space, SEEK AND DESTROY!!! Why was he on the car? What are the mating habits of those guys? Hmmm... Maybe he was after a sizeable mate (the car)... hahahahahahaha Or, maybe he thought of cruizing in (on) a sweet ride to pick up girls... :)
Take Care,
Paul

The Camaro was sitting in the garage, I know these things can't climb walls that well, so I'm guessing it was one something, who ever was moving the item this critter must have been on it, and fell off. I've seen these spiders before, pretty harmless, but "MAN" can they move. :burnout: if I ever find one again, I'll post a picture.

We have these little buggers all around ponds and lakes all around New England, I think they're pretty much everywhere but they get to be about 4" in diameter in many cases.
I've had instances of being in a boat and one of them scurries out from a seat in rough water... you have to throw a life jacket on them and smash an oar on the lifejacket. They're legitametely big enough to shuffle around the life jackets...

Personally I'll take an earthquake any day compared to some monster sized arachnid crawling up my body!!!
Jeez, quakes are not so bad, when else can you surf on land?!?

I have a funny take on spiders. I kill them the moment I see them no matter how big. Bare handed if I have no choice. I've trained my self to do it. There is no way I'm taken a chance that suckers getting away to crawl on me later. Been bit. Kinda scary. 3:00 am in the ER. Never again.
A local radio station did a bit on being freaked out by spiders. One guy had nearly burned his house down with a lighter and a can of hair spray. He said the next time he just used a 12 gauge shot gun on acounta there'd be less damage. My kinda guy. We're probably related.
