Hey guys...

1. The board is setup so that there is an Email Form available... its easy and a convenient way of sending an email to a user... but it does not give you the users email address... they would have to reply to you inorder for you to find that out...

2. I just found a way to by-pass that function (check someones profile now) but it eliminates the convenience of the Email Form... it just gives you a hyperlinked email address and you have to user your standard email program to send a message...

My question to you is... Which do you prefer?

I know doug forrester had asked for me to find a way to do #2 and I have... now I wanna know which the majority of you want!

Please let me know...
Thanks,

I would change it, while quite nifty but its more conveineint for me to use me email editor, outlook, i left my email as a part of my signatur for that reason. Alot of us send small files and movies to each other which we cant attach with the current feature. it would definatly be easier if we could just see the email addresses to begin with by not having to reply, ect ect.
As long a Pirvate measages work i think it wont matter. the P/M feature is way cool.

The email form saves a few seconds if your email program isn't open, but beyond that, there isn't much benefit. Probably just displaying an email address would be easiest, but frankly, either way is fine by me.

I prefer to use my own email editor with which I am familiar.

A vote for my own email editor from me.

That would also eliminate the need for a "private message".

Would that save bankwidth too?

To paraphrase what they say about Washington's spending habits: A meg here and a meg there, pretty soon it adds up to real money, i.e. bandwidth.

Ok guys...

Its done... I changed it yesterday so you should be able to read a persons address without the blank form...

Thanks for your help...
