What must we do to keep from having !)(*@!_#*!@_#* ActiveX dialogs appear every time we change pages on this site??? It has been working fine until this morning, now I'm plagued with the !@)(*_@!*#_@! ActiveX plague.
No, I cannot enable ActiveX.
Thanks.

Hi Andy,
I dont have a clue where the active X message is coming from... I didnt update anything last nite that would have affected that!
The only think that comes to mind would be the flash banner at the top... I will remove it to see if it resolves your problem!
Please let me know!

That was it! THANKS!
Would an animated GIF have worked? It would be more compatible with other OS's as well.
It could be that it showed up this morning at work, where ActiveX is not an option. At home I noticed the animation Friday but ActiveX is enabled there.
Thanks, man, you're the greatest!

Does the Active X not work on the windows/ie computers? Did it work with the others? And tell me again what's the problems with the Microsoft programs?
Here's the take on it from a technician's view. The microsoft products, though much more expensive, work ten times better. Windows vs MAC OSX? Does windows crash more? Fatal Exceptions? Illegal Operations? The Mac doesn't give the errors. It just freezes. My brother and his wife both have Macs. They'll never buy another one. They'll just about give them away.
Microsoft Office vs. Corel Office Suite? I work on a network that uses Corel,....because it was cheaper. Now what they gained in cost they pay in support,...ie they pay Me :)
I won't go into IE vs Netscape....but I've worked on both and use IE exclusively. Microsoft is big because they have THE product. It has some errors, but everyone else has more. They're in the spotlight because everyone wants a piece of that however many billion dollars.

Yep...cheaper running with the Big Dogs? . We use the same here except MS Office Pro version. I was just upgraded to MS 6.5.05 or something like that.
Nice thing about a Gov worker is our systems are kep up to date with new software versions...well that can be good or bad I guess.
Come on Andy! You can even download it for free!!

Hmmm Yep...cheaper running with the Big Dogs hehe if you dont know what your doing. Microsofts perspective of a complete product is pethetic, and i know i halfway through the MSCSE course, so i think i would have a slight idea. Mac's are cool, they are faster, more stable, and better looking, every little feature about a mac is good. Now i dont own Macs or work with them. But i know its the most user freindly system available. Now all the compyters in australian primary schools are Macs i think taht means something!!, for those specific reasons, geez i walked into a network setup and had to put macs on the novell network, how easy was that, from knowing nothing. Oh yeah if you get Fatal exceptions the machine usually jams, and or closes all programs, Ie BOD
Also to put something on THE product. Does anybody remember the debarcle with BETA and VHS, the BETA format was better, so many people bought it, VHS then became the standard.
Also to add on that Apple also had the system, alot of people went out and got them on the sheer fact they are better. Now Microsoft became more appealing due to the fall down in apple. Apple is still the best system, just not as popular and Apple is climbing back up but how far is the question.
My 2 cents.

That's about as close as you'll get to see me swearing. Few items tick me off that badly.
It's not a matter of being able to download, it's a matter of policy here. At home I have it installed, which is why I didn't notice the Flash thing (other than my computer suddenly running much slower) at home over the weekend.
As for "best system" I would go with Amigo OS. It did years ago what the others are still thinking about. Unix/BSD/Linux (choose your flavor) a close second, Mac OSX, VMS, PC/MS-DOS, then CP/M, then Winblows. Thanks, but I taught MS certification classes.
