these are previews pics of fastelectrics new hardware for 12 cell plus boats

These are the best quality finish and fit I have seen to date.

The bushings are tight and as smooth as butter.

The water pickup rudders are streamlined and about half the thickness of other hardware with twin small pickup holes (on either side of the blade) for minimum drag. The rudders also come with a spare nylon bolt to allow for kickup in the event of an impact.

The hardware comes with a 5/32 cable and 3/16" bushings as standard and has a polished finish.

Mono hardware is complete with cable screw adjustable tabs and adjustable turn fin, water pickup rudder and choic of round bottom, flat bottom or triangular pattern strut, all brackets and stainless fittings is $101.20

Hydro hardware with the same options is $92.00

6-8 cell electric and IC hardware next week.

Offshore kits with inline strut and rudders, twin struts/single rudder and twin rudder/single strut available shortly.
6-8 cell electric and IC hardware next week.

Cables from .098" 1/8" stub throught to 1/4" cable 1/4" stub available.

Shown with Fullers struts and waterpickup rudder blade for comparison

enjoy

Very nice looking hardware. I will certainly consider it for my next project.

A couple of suggestions Andrew....

1. If your rudders had a swept leading edge, I'd jump all over them.

2. The water pickup inlet looks awfully small.

3. A bracket for mounting strut and rudder in line. We turn left up here.

Doug re hardware

1. If your rudders had a swept leading edge, I'd jump all over them.

Usually this is done to increase the castor effect on the rudder and prevent flatter. If it is being used to reduced lift in turns there are other fixes to talk walk in monos and hop in hydros Or is there another reason???

2. The water pickup inlet looks awfully small.

An alternative view is the holes on current fe blades look awfully large. There are two pickup holes. This stuff has been tested and tested an tested - big holes = no benifit and drag. A proto set has been running in the USA on a 700 powered mono for 15 months - no problems so far.... In fact he wants another.

3. Consider offering a bracket for mounting strut and rudder in line. We turn left in offshore up here.

A "strudder" is available.

A sizeable shipment of this stuff is due in January and it will go on the site then - top price for strut/rudder 24 cell hardware with all the fruit and cable will be $105 - prices from $96.....
