i have heard that this boat is very fast for a rtr. it has a .32 engine and a decent size fuel tank. it would be a great nitro but perosnaly i would go with a fast electric mono. be aware the nitro engines reqiure more maitnence and will occasionally need to be tuned. the jetstream doesnt have a clutch like the nitro blst so you will always be moving(one reason why im switchin to electric). If you arent experienced with nitro you should seek help and read the manual thoroughly.

The problem with nitro and fuel boats in general is it takes a lot more to keep them from working then an electric boat. In an electric boat you know the motor will turn over when you give it throtle, so all your left doing is trimming the boat.

here is what i came uup with about nitro boats. these are from my experience with nitro boats.

good things:
Sound awsome
rtr boats are generally fast
put out lots of rpm and tourqe

bad things:
lots of maitnence
need to be tuned
nitro is very messy
must piant inside of boat to prevent corrosion
always moving(unless you have a clutch which is rare in boats)
more moving parts... linkages, carb etc.......(more to worry about)
engine can die

lets just put it this way, i would feel much less nervous with a electric not worryin about my linkage comeing losse or my engine dying.

we are not trying to stear you away from nitro just tellin it like it is. So if the good things are worth the bad things go ahead and get a nitro.

if you do get a nitro be sure to have a recovery boat our drive your boat with the wind coming at you so if your boat stalls it will blow back to you.

ya look into that boat. you will like the clutch system alot. Do you have someone that can help you with nitro? have you ever had a nitro? you are going to have to know where all the needles are and tune them properly. Its alot different then flicking a switch and going off. If you do end up getting one be sure to read the manual thoroughly. Have fun!

I have the electric version of this boat (800 S). I don't think they make it anymore though. I have it set up for 12 cell sport running, and it runs awesome. Credit Fine design for a job well done to convert it. It originally was sold to run with an 05 motor on 6 cells (way underpowered). The hull looks and planes great.
