Pete,

Finally the response you asked for.

Using the 9.6V Neo my guess would be an X642...Andrew may be able to enlighten us here however.

As for 4 cell...my personal preference for this upcoming season. In my digger mono I run a 9Tpl with an X632.

For my rigger, I run a 7Tpl with an X432.

Hope to make the first race, just to see what everyone "really" will be running this year.

Hey Steve, Thanks for the reply. By pl do you mean plett? I guess the hull I got off Bill is better suited to 18-24 cells? Do you think a 31" 28oz hull can be competitive in LSH against guys running 24" 16oz hulls? I don't have any four cell boats right now but I can see building one if I can finish the 3 I'm working on now. May's gonna be here in no time and I got lots of work to do.

Any one else here from MMM? Lets here what Classes your gonna run.

I think that Steve means triple wind after the number of turns, ex. 9 tpl (referring to ferrite can motors).

That's a very good question regarding your Bandit hull - 31" & 28 oz (!)
There are a lot of variables involved. In really rough water conditions, it just might be the ticket. In relatively calm water, that's a lot of weight and drag to give up.

This class is totally new to all of us. It's going to take a few races to shake out and for all to learn what is the "hot set-up". If the outcome was completely predictable, there wouln't be any reason to race, would there?

To begin the season...I will be running the O'Berto hull I built about 5 years ago. Its also heavy and may not be the ticket...but until I get on the water, it will be guesswork for me.

Steve,

I have 4-12 cell controls now. I think the ones you have are 4-7. Both air- and water-cooled versions are 4-12, and the air-cooled ones are going to be a drop-in replacement for the mechanical controls, just a little smaller and a good bit lighter.

Hi Andy, I am sending back the spd control for you to look at(the one I set-up the motor wrong...forgot the cap..and ran it...yeah I'm an idiot)

I am ecstatic with the performance of the speed controls to date...and I am getting the urge bigtime this weekend (open water here) but I don't know if it will hold. Anyway I am looking forward to running some boats soon.

No problem! Every now and then I get reminders.

I think you'll like the new stuff.
