who would know better? at least they are in touch with the reality of life problems. Sounds like they are human beings with the normal problems. We all can fall in to sh#@ but strive not to. Some of the riches people in the world have done worse but were not caught or covered up the truth.

Indeed Randy. Anyone can slip and fall. Thats part of the human experiance.

However - leaders are expected by this society to be examples if for no one else but our children.

Imagine .... the people who we trust our childrens future to are out drunk driving. Hmmm!!! Something is wrong with this to the very core. It smells!

I agree they should set the example. I could rave on but what good will it do. Right now I think the goverment should be careful how it proceds in Irack there is a true threat and much danger, but must be taken care of.

That is not exactly the profile I would want as neighbors, let alone our lawmakers!

The one I find REALLY scarey is 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses!!! 8)

Dan. Its no problem. These guys were just practicing so they would know what to do when they got to Washinton. From the looks of things .... all that good practice must of worked.

As long as we're on the subject of the people in Congress and their personal lives why don't we talk about anothet idiot that's sitting in the White House? Hmmm arrested for drunk driving, cocaine use, caused the collapse of Harken energy through shady dealings with Harvard University. Insider trading. Possible awol from Texas ANG. And not to mention shady business deals with cohorts involving Texas Rangers. Sayyy, what kind of example are we trying to set for our children when we have somebody like this in the White House?:o Jollyroger

You forgot to mention how he stole the election in Florida from Al Bore by cheating all of the black people out of their votes.

Sounds like just another SAD LOSER liberal. Can't wait to hear the libs whine in 2004.

Oh brother. At least this guy has the guts to say, "Yes, I did drink and drive. And yes, I did other things I should not have, and neither should you."

Not like the previous slime ball who has to redefine sex and inhalation to try to make himself look good.

Are you by chance a schoolboy?

I hate to break it to you but, just because it is written in a book doesn't mean it is true.

As a matter of fact, the book Fortunate Son is completely based around three "unidentified sources". In real people speak, that means the author made the whole story up.

And, as it turned out the author, one J.H. Hatfield, was an ex-con. He served time on a felon charge of hiring a hit man to kill his boss. If I remember correctly his boss was a woman, too. He wanted to kill her but, he didn't have the spine to do it himself.

When his publisher confronted him on this, he first lied and
said it was another Hatfield. He had a credibility factor of less than zero. Not a word that jerk said or wrote could be believed.

I would be embarassed to quote trash like this book as a source of information.

Fortunately 'ol Hatfield spared us all his company by punching his own ticket a couple of years back.:yeah:

His wife (a local un-favorite with those who value life and liberty) is just as bad. Clintonomics made visible. I'm sure glad Al Bore lost the election.

Holy cow! Can you imagine if Algar had been at the throttle when the Towers came down?!?! Makes the hair on my neck stand up.

Kevin,

Apparently if you were an avid talk radio listener then you would be disqualified and incapable of any thought of your own. I'm sure there was a disclaimer that you missed.

- The United States registered a record $435.2 billion trade deficit for 2002, the government reported Thursday, as the weak global economy caused exports to decline for a second straight year.

When was George W. elected??

For 2002, exports of goods and services fell 2.5 percent to $973 billion. That was the second consecutive annual decline following a drop of 6 percent in 2000, reflecting a spreading global slowdown and the high-flying dollar.

When was George W. elected??

"as the weak global economy caused exports to decline for a second straight year."

George Bush controls the entire world economy? No President has ever really "controlled" the economy of just the United States, let alone the entire world.

Just how did he he personally make the world economy decline?

A global economic slowdown and George Bush personally caused it. You're no Alan Greenspan, that's for sure.

What's next? The Space Shuttle exploded. When was George W. elected?

Better save those weak arguments for your elementary school pals.
