Well, I think we had better light a fire under some butts this Sunday, to increase participation in this site and exchange ideas more frequently about our club and the issues it faces...

Bad news gents, I now have to attend a meeting of our regional hockey league to preside over a hearing regarding an incident in a hockey league in Kitchener. Bummer...I was really looking forward to meeting all again. Oh well, if not next month, then at the first race of the season.

I'd better not say what I'm thinking!

I know Doug, I'm all talk and no action...
However, I made a committment to hockey at the executive level as a volunteer for the boating offseason and I will live up to the obligation.

I am not happy about it, but this is the last year I am serving on the board of directors so I will be free next winter...Neil is also off to school next year, so I will be racing solo again.

This summer I have committed to the Michigan Cup again for Neil and I over three days...is going to be very expensive. Not only for room but getting boats ready for nine classes with fresh cells, motors, new hulls etc... so my real interest lies with that race this season. Then club races, then the MMM year end race, I refuse to call it the Cdn nats anymore.

Actually my nasty thoughts were directed less against you than at hockey!
How unCanadian of me, eh? :D :D

For those that are interested but couldn't attend here is a quick update of the meeting.

- good attendance, about 8 or 9 people and a few new guys.
- reviewed the list of classes; lots of different stuff being run but small numbers in each class except for 12 cell spec mono and LSH.
-there was some discussion of consolidating classes but no agreement was reached.
-it looks like the group will try the M course for 12 cell spec mono and see how it goes. If there are problems or people don't like it we can fall back to the oval.
-lots of interest in 12 cell spec hydro (our version of LSH).
-next meeting is going to be on April 14 at the Humber Bay pond (pending final confirmation from Conrad) so we can get our boats in the water.

SHOW & TELL
-Bill F brought his H&M 20 cell "Oberto" monster hydro - what a beast. I think he is trying to get it on the water this week.
- Ralph vE brought his cut down Elecrto Vee.
- Doug F brought his Hydro mite and distributed free plans for it

I think Conrad will send out more accurate notes in a few weeks.

Thats about it for now.

Thank you Ralph. You obviously took notes or at the very least, were paying better attention than I was.
Incidently, I was pleased to finally meet you. I look forward to the racing season with you and all the other new members.
