I know we had a thread on the correct connector for the Schultz Speed Control, but I still only have deans and sermos connectors and I cannot go back and look at it. Sense My controllers are on the way back from Germany I would like to gather Information where to purchase the correct connectors. Paul showed some that looked similar to the ones that Joerg was using in LA. But I really do not know what to call them and where to get them?

Randy, According to Joerg, The Hoph silver are the best. Don't know where to get them though.
See ya,

From Hopf...
Even though the Hopf silver have lowest resistance, the MC4 (4mm gold contact) or the Schulze pp35 (3.5mm gold contact) are ok as well.
The problem with the sermos is not the resistance. The connection is not save enought!

Guys
I'm not aware of anyone officially importing Hopf equipment into North America. Rumor has it that Hopf will not sell directly to the US (what's that about?) :( :( :(

Doug, this is more or less right so far. He does not accept credit cards and can't ship with UPS. He does not deal with Ray or Andrew. So far he's more than busy to handle the german customers.
So basically I did most of the shipping so far. But I'm not a dealer, so I'm not going to do this in large quantities. I was just helping out a few friends.
But it should be possible to send some connectors to someone. Maybe someone could start a list who needs how many and I could organize the shipping.
If someone has a better idea without getting me involved, go ahead.
Joerg
Hello Randy,
Hobby Lobby is where you need to go, they have them. You could also try your LHS, that's where I get mine.
Paul.
at over $3.23 a pair they don't come cheap. But what the hey, if they were cheap, thats what they'd be......CHEAP

The Jetti connectors look like the Schultz motor connectors and I have had trouble with the connector coming loose. I do have a Jetti SC and the connectors have stayed firm. But I just want to be safe. I like a bigger connector like the Hopf. I was at Hobby lobby site last night and the Kavan's Gold "Stecker" Connectors looked more like what I was looking for. But once again a draw back low amp usage only 40 amps recommend.

That's 5A more than a Sermos is rated for.

Schulze rates their PP35 connectors at 80A+. Same for the 4mm gold. Others rate them at 60A. Depends on the time. I'm sure they can handle a RC2400 pack at 80-100A.
Here is what I pay for a pair of connectors (1male, 1female):
MC4 4mm gold: EUR 1.50 = $1.33
Schulze PP35: EUR 1.50 = $1.33
Noname 4mm gold: EUR 1.10 = $0.97
Hopf silver: EUR 1.10 = $0.97
These are prices for single quantities. Guys, don't let your dealers ripp you off.

Andy you know that if you teas me I will respond, and that is the fun of it anyway. Some time I am going to go over to Dan C and have him teach me what all these buttoms are for in the post
reply section.
Business is picking up a little. I will want some more SC's in a while. wish you sold Hopf connectors!

Sorry Joreg our dealers appear to be ripping us off big time. They have us over a barrel unless we can find a dealer on the Internet to buy from. Hint Hint (Andrew, Chris, Ray).

All this talk and still to answer. What is the best connector to buy that we can get our hands on in the Good Old US of A?
