Good choice for a racer on a budget? I am planning to install in an RRR mono.

i wouldnt, those things have the least tourqe compared to trinitys other stockers, the new monster stock is the best. a little more tourqe then the GM3 but alot more rpm, though the diffrence between a bad ms and a good one are huge. the best MS's have high thourqe ratings, good luck and happy shopping

I think the monster stock motors have 36° preset advanced timing, as opposed to a ROAR stock motor with preset 24° timing,,, sure they are faster, but I don't think they're legal in N1 racing,,, I've also heard the green machine has more rpm, but less torque then the ROAR stockers, making it less suitable for a boat.

nope the MS still has 24deg of timing. its just a bad ass motor. heres a rundown of tinities motors:
P2k: tourqiest, but usually the least rpm
p2k2: a little less thorq then p2k but more rpm
GM3: less Tourqe and more rpm
MS: more thourqe then GM3 but less then p2k2, but on average more rpm then GM3
does that help
