Been buying too much stuff lately and need to fund it, so I'm culling my fleet to one mono - time for this one to move out. This is a Hopf Thunder hull (hull only) including 1 1/4" to 1" motor mount, stuffing tube, steering servo, rudder bracket, water cooling tubes and steering linkages. Hull is approximately 32" long not including hardware. A Fullers type strut can be mounted inside the rudder bracket, and a Fuller's type rudder can be mounted inside the rudder tube. All that's needed to make this go is a motor, flex shaft, strut, antenna tube, rudder, electronics and radio. I ran this boat on 12 cells direct to an x440 with a Cordite 775 motor - wild fun on rough water, a little slow on smooth water but still moves nicely. It really needs an 18 cell set-up. German racers run this boat on 16-22 cells or more in "Mono III" competition. Check out the huge steps - the boat rides on the front step and transom only - gets lots of air underneath. She's fiberglass and extremely light. Paint job is white krylon (a few scratches) with inkjet labels covered with Krylon Crystal Clear. All decals are waterproofed. More hull pics at http://mitglied.lycos.de/Locke_AB/ and http://www.hopf-modelltechnik.de/4629/4683.html (scroll down to the Thunder). This hull was shipped from Germany for about $130.00 - I'm only aware of one other in the states. I'd like to get $100.00 firm (shipped). Paypal, MO or check all fine. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Terry,

It is a beautiful boat - Hopf does some very neat stuff but he's a tricky guy to deal with!!!

Kelly,

I dealt with a buddy in Germany at that time. The best thing to do is contact another boater overseas if you know one and see if he could pick one up. Hopf doesn't ship to the US as far as I know but the Wollards do have a connection there. Allan at Astec might know somebody. It's definitely worth trying - they are beautiful hulls. It takes about 3-4 weeks to order and you never know what color gelcoat you're going to get.

I wish I had seen that eariler, I would have bought it. I love the lines of that boat. If for some reason that sale falls through, let me know Ill take it off of your hands.

Thanks Tom, but sorry, the boat is with it's new owner already. You could try importing one - look at my post up a couple for ideas. Hopf has some other models which look awesome - the big Lightening boat is beautiful. Good luck. Thanks, Al.
