Pete and I are set up at the Motel 6 for Thurs, Fri, Sat nights, Nove 6,7,8. Rates were a tad higher than what is posted. $51.99 1st night, $61.99 other 2 nights. No worries.

2 double beds.

Now if the boats set up that easy

Patrick M

Have a room with 2 full beds for the nights of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th. Chris, you can have one the beds if you don't mind it being full...... the management isn't forthcoming on the subject, so I don't know what it's full of...... maybe one of the "professional" Motel 6 residents?

D. Newland

That's why I bring my blacklight.

Please remind me, what type of "deal" was Fuller giving us as a club? Was it free shipping? Only for hulls?

I would like to go! I'll split the cost, I just wont know for sure till Monday if it will be possible. I do have recording equipment all ready to go. Oh yeah does anyone want to use one of my boats?

BTW is the "Professional" Motel 6 resident
a female, age 23-27, blonde, tan, and could pass a Miss Spears?

If it's a pro your looking for, there will most likely be a few to choose from, though I don't recall seeing any Britney look-a-likes.......LOL.

Real nice neighborhood...........

BTW, are there any events scheduled at the pond, if not I am going to run LSH and do some tweaking.

Patrick M

When?...... the sail guys will be there on Sunday.

Chris S.
09-06-2003, 01:09 PM
I was actually going to run later Today 2 to 3 ish

Patrick M
09-06-2003, 03:42 PM
Hah!...... glutton for punishment, aren't you..... I'm gonna sit here in the refrigeration and cycle some 2600's. May do some testing next Saturday, a couple of newbies that work at H-town want to try out their new UFO's. They decided to go with full blown Fine setups for N-2 Mono.

Chris S.
09-06-2003, 04:05 PM
Come on, Its cooling off, today it's ONLY 102! We are actually going to see 90's by mid-week

Hey is it the JEL motors guy? I have been trying to get him to come to an event for almost a year.

Patrick M
09-06-2003, 07:11 PM
It's Mitch and Doug from the Gilbert store....... Doug can be fast if he finds the right setup, not familiar with Mitch's abilities, though I'm sure both will be up to speed quickly.

Chris S.

What?! We may actually have 5 N2!

That should really spice things up a bit with technique.

Maybe we can get them into LSH later...

I just received a Sidewinder in the mail today, really nice. I is really strong for plastic I was actually shocked. its light too.

D. Newland

What is Fine's N-2 setup? I didn't find it on his site.

Chris-What are your plans w/the Sidewinder? LSO? P? Q? XYZ?

Pat-Did you ever compare weight differences between the Cabover and Bandit?

Pete B.
09-08-2003, 01:51 PM
It's a hardware package he sells. $$$$ @ 139.00

D. Newland
09-08-2003, 03:22 PM
Oh, OK. I thought Chris had a "Complete" N-2 package w/motor. The motor is what I was wanting to know...I assume they got the Force 21 hull?

Must size up competition...

Pete B.

a couple of newbies that work at H-town want to try out their new UFO's.
That is the boat from Terry Davis. Fine design sells it

Chris S.
09-08-2003, 07:42 PM
The sidewinder is strictly going to be a P mono. On a tech note the hull is about 2" longer than the El Lobo I own. They were being offered by Terry for like $50.00 joined.

My XYZ boat is still in the planning phase.

The guys from hobby town will most likely catch on quick. I bet we will be in for a shocker actually.
Those boats from Terry are nice too.
Here is the link to the UFO sighting....

You guys are gonna have to move to Nevada or New Mexico if you're running UFO's.

So what's the next hull gonna be, a MIB?

Andy

Everytime I see "UFO", it reminds me of that movie w/James Balushi and John Ritter..called Real Men, Good Men, or something like that. They had to choose between the Big Gun or the Good Package from the "U-FO's".

I choose the Ovalmaster.

Havent you seen the repots on the Phoenix UFO incident, It was a couple of years ago there were tons of reports of a GIANT V shaped object moving over Phoenix. I must have been inside....

I plan on using Boeings new Antigravity technology on my next boat. You gotta check the article at CNN, quite interesting.

Hey Andy, weird stuff happens in the desert......

Pete B.
09-09-2003, 09:55 PM
DON'T DROP IT!!!! hows that for antigravity.
BTW When the racing ends we'll prove that UFO'S are just a myth.
Lights over Phoenix or little boats in the water.........

Chris S.

We'll see, I have been doing some tweaking. Hopefully it's goodbye stability problems. I got my little boat set up to run like a big boat....

What time are you guys going to be out at the pond Saturday? I want to make sure our new homeless friend will be there.

I'll be at work Sat. Probably make some (homeless) friends There.
All things change Chris or they get passed by, including little toy boats :)

D. Newland
09-09-2003, 11:07 PM
Working on some anti-gravity technology? You mean more than you were last season? Skip, skip, skip, SPLASH!

I'll be laying sod Saturday. No comments from the peanut gallery, especially since I'm dealing with a house full of my wife's pregnant and hormonal mood.

But, keep making plans for Saturday. I just may make it.

Hey, what I lack in N2 I make up in LSH.
Remember I am younger than you guys.
I don't have all that "OLD MAN" wisdom when it comes to setting up boats! LOL

Old age and treachery (and anti-G technology) will always overcome youth and ability........

Patrick M
09-10-2003, 07:16 PM
The newbies from H-town say that their boats won't be ready for another week or two...... not in time for Saturday.

Dave- haven't done a direct weight comparison yet.

D. Newland
09-11-2003, 02:09 PM
That's alright Pat. I ordered the PIP Bavaria shovel from Fine. Sounds like it's a direct knock-off from the Bandit and $30 cheaper. It's back ordered so I won't see it for a month or so.

Pete B.
09-11-2003, 02:34 PM
So now I can snipe!!
Pat, how can I get you to part with a roundnose

D. Newland

Man, I mention John Ritter's name on Tuesday and he's dead today. That's a little weird, considering I only bring his name up in conversation 1, may 2 times a day.

Patrick M

Last Sat around 3 pm I wanted to drive my LSH like I said... I got rained out. I think I am going to go to the lake tomorrow a.m. anyway.
Workin on the E-maxx has me burnned out, need to play on the water.

That little 4200 B/L is just a little scary in an e maxx, I cant beleive some people are running 19 series motors in them
