As some of you know I am a deputy in the county that I live in... Well this is the time of our annual Cajun Catfish Festival...
This Evening I was called to one of the entry gates by a fellow deputy who was having problems with a beligerant woman... Unfortunately when you mix alcohol and large crowds, people's IQs tend to fall below the level of a goldfish...
When I arrived the young lady was verbally berating my compadre... I politely diverted her to the side and asked her what had her in a tiff... Long story short she decided to start in on me concerning my level of training and my family lineage... Oops!! With her cooperation I performed an HGN (Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus) in order to ascertain her level of inebriation... She failed miserably... Oops!!! Since she felt I was ill-trained to perform this evaluation, I called another deputy over (who was already coming to take her off to the Sheriff's bed and breakfast, so that I could remain on assignment), and he performed the same evaluation, which she failed again... Oops!!!! She was placed into custody, and began to question every deputy's lineage in the county.... As she was being taken from the grounds... I jokingly advised her that my second cousin twice removed on my sister/wife's side would be the presiding JP when she would have her bail set in the morning... ;)
Some people just don't have a sense of humor.... :D
