Is there a motor that can handle 50 cells ? How much output would that have?

I'm sure there probably is. You might have a problem finding a controller for it though. You'll probably have to get that custom made. Check out the motors at Fine Design. Probably with a smallish prop and geared down, you could run 50 cells on the larger ones.

When you see those 60-100 cell boats, they usually run multiple motors. Each motor/controller combo each sees only 32 cells. They also tend to run several of the packs in parallel.
