What a fantastic ride this has been!

Eddie, Garry, Don, and Donnie you guys have put on a class performance, thank you! Your prizes are truly over the top and I intend to forward a pm to each of the sponsors of my gratitude.

As I parked myself this morning in front of the tv prepared for a full day's worth of Seafair racing, I learned of the results of the Hydro Build Off. Needless to say, I had even more reason to celebrate the day.

There is a lot of satisfaction being able to create a boat from a sheet of paper and bundle of balsa. To me, even more rewarding is the comraderie and motivation for fellow modellers to create their own works of craftsmanship. RRR has found a way to make all of those things possible and I, for one, am thankful.

Cheers to my fellow contestants; we are the RRR Build-Off class of 2008 and I am lucky to be included in such talented company. I look forward to see even more projects here on RRR from you guys!

I am already planning out some new hulls for this fall so lets get ready! Garry, I am thinking something Staudacher, dropped sponson to be exact. Oh, and of course it will be decked in mahogany!

Bryan, I just sent your prize yesterday. You can contact me by e-mail if you need anything. BTW, if you like the wood look, Laurie Doering has an article about veneering this kit in the latest issue of Radio Contrrol Boat Modeler and he has a build thread on the forum also. Again Congratulations!
