Herzog Hurricane

Gentlemen,

I have an opportunity to buy a Herzog Hurricane in excellent condition. I was told that it's been run 4 times and it looks it. It's now a gas boat, but the current owner is taking the motor out prior to sale. I'm told that it was built by Aeromarine rather than Rico and that means it's a bit lighter layup. Is that good? I like the Aeromarines I've seen - they seem to be well constructed. Anyway, what would be a fair price? I searched RRR, but didn't see much about $. I also looked at Jims BD and those were all RTR or ARTR. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, JH

ps - It will have all hardware, etc. (including gas tank!) I'd like to run it electric with a 1527-1.5Y

I believe he meant Rigo Bustanante from RC Boat Works he lays up the Hurricane hulls.

Like I said, I'm unfamiliar with them. Like? Dislike? Thanks

Yes I like the hulls, I have 3 although mine are set up for gas. One is an original by Chris Herzog, one by Aeromarine and the newest by Rigo. I like the layup by Aeromarine, it's not too heavy and nicely done.

I have seen a few setup for electric and they would haul the mail!!

Here is a video of one...

Also ran across this over at Jim's..
