Carlsberg done

Posted 10-15-2010 at 02:25 PM by eddieh

well I am sorry for not posting pics, but I have finished my "shorty" mis carlsberg, she is based on the 80 bud back-up or the miss olympia
I cut a "Finley Furrow" in her which is basically a drop in the hull where I place the motor and batts and it does work well it reduces the amount of packed air under the hull and lowers the CG. I raced her earlier this month and after setting the timing properly on the schulze 105wo she was very quick, I also added carbon fiber ride pads, and she is powered with an older proboat motor, ran on 4s1p, cg about 1.25 inches behind the sponson, eddie hansen turn fin.
Acceleration was great, and in very bad conditions she handled a large chop reasonably well, spinning an abc prop motor came in around 87 degrees, speedo was 72, so lots of room for upping the amps...
